We have both American and European Goldens in our family. Research shows that European Goldens have a slightly lower rate of cancer and we want to be sure that our puppies have a greater chance of living life cancer free so our litters are usually a mixture.
All of our dogs are health tested either by Paw Print Genetics or Embark Genetics. We only breed dogs that are cleared from genetic conditions.

Tramin Thermal Energy (Kenzi) came to us after she competed in the show ring and became Champion of Maldova. We absolutely love her, she is very calm and super friendly. She loves to play ball too. She is a blocky type build in her head and shoulders but is also petite weighing about 60 pounds.
All About Health Testing
Why is it important to have health testing done and to have a Champion in a puppy’s pedigree?? What does that mean as a puppy buyer?
1. Health testing is so important- never buy a puppy from a breeder that does not do health testing on their breeding dogs - and I don’t mean just taking their pups to a vet - BUT - they should have genetic testing done BEFORE breeding - this tells you that your puppy is set up to have the best health - absent of all genetic conditions that could affect him. All of our dogs have had genetic testing done!! If both mom and dad are carriers for a specific disease and they are bred - the puppies WILL have the disease - even if the parents do not!!
2. So what if the dad was a champion? Being a champion or having a champion in your puppy’s background means that your puppy’s ancestors (far or near) have been judged to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the AKC for a Golden Retriever!! So there are no deviations in structure such as improper coat or incorrect size, etc.
Know what you are buying!! These guys are only with us for a short time - do your part to be sure that time is spent making memories not regretting your decisions.
